Zoom in or out

Look for the zoom controls in the lower left corner of the embedded map, or in the lower right corner when the map is not embedded. To zoom in, click the plus (+) sign. To zoom out for a wider view, click the minus (-) sign. Note: you may need to collapse the map legend to access to the zoom controls.

You can also double-click to zoom in. The visible area of the map will change to include the location of your click.

To zoom out with the mouse, double right-click on the map. The field of view will expand but will not center automatically on the location of your click.

Mouse Wheel

Use the mouse wheel to zoom in or out. Scroll the wheel forward to zoom in. Scroll the wheel backward to zoom out.

Pan or move map viewpoint

Click and drag on the map to change the viewpoint and visible content of the map. When the area you want to explore is in view, release the mouse button.

Expand or collapse the map legend

The map legend appears at the left of the map window, or below the map depending on your device and its orientation. It displays the layers of the map and the contents of each layer. An abbreviated version of the contents in a layer is often shown by default. It

Activity search

When a visible location marker is selected, the name and description associated with that location is displayed in a panel covers the map legend, if the legend is display.. Locations include global searches for specific activities. If available, photographs or other images are displayed.

Show or hide the legend by clicking on the legend control in the upper left corner of the map. Show map legend control Hide (collapse) toggle legend off.

To show and hide layers, such as the layer with urban areas and state/province polygons, click the check box for the layer or the layer title to change the visibility of the layer.
